I think many of these stories are pretty shocking. It shows that USA is not just a land of opportunities, but also a land with a lot of terrible faiths. I think we can see that the social and economic differences between people in the states are huge - the rich are just getting richer, and the poor doing are worse and worse. The fact that so many people live such a degrading life with close to none trying to help is alarming. Also that many of the homeless people seem to have been excluded by there families, which I think is really sad. It may seem that the Americans think that being related to such people (homeless) make them look bad and therefore pretend they do not exist.
